| I have a completely different viewpoint on humanity after working in the restaurant business. I don't think that people's true character can be known until you know how they act towards people who are serving them (not just in a restaurant but anywhere really...Wal-Mart, the mall...etc.). First of all, it's a job...just like any other job. It's called the service industry, yes, and for a reason, we serve people. But many occupations are included in the service industry. Your doctor is in the service industry and you wouldn't talk to him the way you talk to a waitress. Why? Because he had to go to school and pay the big bucks to get where he is? Because he has a higher degree? But how do you know that your doctor wasn't a waiter to pay his med school loans? I'm sure that there are those that have. Your servers are people too. I wonder if people realize the way that they are speaking to them. I wonder if they understand how rude they come off. I wonder if they purposely don't make eye contact? Rant over I guess. Pay attention to the way that you talk to people. You never know how that effects them. Note to the world: Christ has called us all to the service industry. Who are you serving? |

| Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, alwas trusts, always perseveres. Love never fails. |
